PLASM@COAT : The Plasma Coating Solution integrated in the flow of production
Developed for vacuum plasma deposition, PLASM@COAT is a new concept of machines which can be integrated in the flow of production of an injection moulding machine. This equipment makes it possible to develop new properties for surfaces of plastic parts: activation before painting, deposit of thin layers (barrier coating, absorbent coating, protection …)
ISYTECH brings a solution meeting the needs for property functions of three-dimensional plastic parts in the respect of the objectives of productivity. It presents numerous advantages: flexibility, cost effectiveness, technical performance and environment-friendly.
This concept can be applied to equipments specifically depending on customer applications.
MATHYS PLASM@COAT : An effective alternative to fluorination
With MATHYS PLASM@COAT technology, Fagor Brandt Ltd performs, without manual intervention and within the flow of the injection process, a functional treatment of a PP panel (the higher part of the tank of its new model of dishwashers: LV BRANDT DFH 555).

MATHYS PLASM@COAT makes it possible to carry out an absorbent deposit on the surface of a complex three-dimensional part, using a low pressure plasma technology.
The part to be treated is brought and loaded by the robot of the injection moulding machine into a specific room whose pressure will drop down to approximately 0.07 mbar.
The processing gases are then injected. With the help of radio frequency energy, these gases break up partially and create active species: ions and various radicals which react on the surface of the plastic to form a nanometer-range layer.
This allows simultaneously and durably eliminating the occurrence of water drops during the drying phase and preparing surface for to host a silicone seal.
MATHYS PLASM@COAT presents real advantages when compared to competitor processes such as fluorination: CAPEX and OPEX optimization, greater ease-of-use, compliance environmental standards.
